Hank Shaw

A former line cook and commercial fisherman, Hank Shaw hunts or fishes for nearly all his meat, and grows or forages nearly all his fruits and veggies. Hank is on staff here at Simply Recipes, researching, testing, and writing recipes. He has written for Field & Stream, Gastronomica, and The Art of Eating. He runs the James Beard Award-winning blog Hunter Angler Gardener Cook, and is the author of Hunt, Gather, Cook: Finding the Forgotten Feast and Duck, Duck, Goose: The Ultimate Guide to Cooking Waterfowl, Both Farmed and Wild. He lives in the Sacramento area in Northern California.
