Alica Ramkirpal-Senhouse

Alica is a digital content creator who has been writing, developing, and photographing recipes since 2010. She is second generation Guyanese-American and focuses on preserving her culinary heritage through her blog, Alica’s Pepperpot is where she shares family recipes and stories about how cooking has influenced her identity.

She is a graduate of St. John’s University in Queens, NY where she earned a B.A. in English and M.S. in Market Research from University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business. Alica’s professional background is in sales, food marketing and advertising, and digital media.

She’s written for Condé Nast Traveller, Eater, and Brown Girl Magazine and hosted cooking classes in the Orlando and NYC area. She has been featured in American Express Essentials, MIC.com, The West Indian newspaper (print), Orlando Public Library System (in-person cooking class) and in a two-page spread of Food & Wine magazine (print) highlighting how she celebrates Holi.
