Experience
Since 2006, Andrea has written six acclaimed cookbooks: Into the Vietnamese Kitchen, Asian Dumplings, Asian Tofu, The Banh Mi Handbook, The Pho Cookbook, and Vietnamese Food Any Day. She edited Unforgettable, a cookbook-biography about legendary cookbook author Paula Wolfert.
Andrea co-founded the Food Media Lab at the San Francisco Cooking School and serves on the advisory board of the Southern Foodways Alliance. Andrea studied Chinese Culture and Literature, Mandarin Chinese, and was a Rotary International Fellow in Hong Kong, as well.
Andrea has written for Simply Recipes, the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Better Homes and Gardens, Food and Wine, EatingWell, Sunset, Rachael Ray Every Day, Milk Street Kitchen, Bon Appetit, and Lucky Peach.
