I went to a college friend’s engagement party over the weekend, so there’s a little extra dose of love coursing through my veins this week. I also have two weddings next month, which I guess means we’re entering the fall wedding season? I love love, so this is a good thing in my book.
Food-wise, that feeling of love translates into recipes that are either good for your body or for your soul—and sometimes both. And though some people know me for my love of stick-to-your-ribs kinds of meals, I also like to balance it with dishes that are satisfying but don’t leave me feeling like a sack of potatoes.
So this week I suggest a couple of vegetarian meals, grilled seafood, and some more nutritious carbs. Sound too “healthy” for you? Don’t worry—there’s one of my favorite comfort foods to provide some balance.
