5 Fresh Mango Recipes to Make For Your Next Party!

Love mangos and looking to wow your friends and family at this year's gatherings? Well look no further! We've gathered together our five favorite recipes to ensure your next party is a success!

This post is written in partnership with the National Mango Board.

With party season on the horizon, we’re starting to scheme up fresh, colorful recipes our friends and family are sure to love. And this year we’ve got mangos on the mind!

Thanks to their heavenly sweet flavor and versatility, mangos are perfectly poised for sweet and savory dishes alike (and it certainly helps that with six main varieties imported into the U.S. each year, they’re always in season and available!).

If you’re new to cooking with mangos, take a quick peek at how to choose a mango and how to cut a mango. Then it’s time to get cooking! Your guests will love a simple Mango Chutney, Chicken Lettuce Wraps with Mango Salsa or Pork Mango Picadillo. Oh, and that’s just the beginning!

Mango Chutney

Looking to gussy up your cheese board this holiday season? Mango chutney is the answer! It's super simple to make and wonderful paired with creamy brie or tangy blue cheese. Or, use it as a flavorful accompaniment to chicken, pork, or lamb.

chicken mango lettuce wraps

Easy, fast and fresh: three words that are music to our ears when it comes to party planning. And these lettuce wraps don't disappoint: with stir fried chicken, fresh mushrooms and juicy mango, they're certain to be the MVP on the appetizer table.

Sautéed Shrimp with Warm Tropical Salsa

When party season kicks into gear, time is especially hard to come by. And that's why we love this sautéed shrimp recipe topped with a fruity mango salsa and toasted coconut flakes. It takes only 1 pot and 25 minutes: we're sold!

Curry Chicken Salad

A well balanced chicken salad is perfect on crackers or pita at your next party, and for a twist this version features delicious mango, crunchy toasted almonds, and creamy curried mayonnaise

Pork Mango Picadillo

We love heartier fare at a party, and this pork mango picadillo is just the thing! With ground pork, warm spices, fresh mango and cilantro, it's great served over rice or as a filling for mini tacos

Having grown mangoes in my gardens both in India and Thailand I can assure you that the variety and ripeness of mango used in any recipe is of ultimate importance. You do need to be more specific as to variety used in your recipes.
