8 Recipes to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner! Are you planning a party? We've got Mexican Street Corn Nachos, Flank Steak Tacos, Chile Verde, and of course, chips and salsa on our menu. Check it out!

This post is brought to you in partnership with Mission Foods.

Whether you’re planning a day of Cinco de Mayo festivities surrounded by friends and family, or you’re just looking for a few good recipes to celebrate the holiday at home, here are some of our very favorite Mexican and Mexican-inspired recipes for your table.

Start your meal off with a plate of Mexican Street Corn Nachos and a round of margaritas while the rest of the food finishes cooking.

For your main course, go for Flank Steak with Orange-Avocado Salsa, hearty Chile Verde, or Baked Shrimp with Tomatillos – or all three if you’re cooking for a crowd. And either way, serve them with plenty of Mission flour tortillas for serving up every last mouthful.

To round out the meal, we’ve got you covered with Strawberry Guacamole, Refried Black Beans, and two kinds of salsa: Mango Salsa, and Tomatillo and Corn Salsa. They make a nice complement to our main course dishes and can be left on the table for casual snacking with Mission tortilla chips once the plates are cleared.

Stock up on tequila so you can keep the margaritas coming all night long. Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone!

Thank you so much for these awesome Mexican recipes. After moving from SoCal to SW Ohio last year, we’re in Mexican food withdrawal, and these recipes will surely cure that craving. My mouth is watering as I type. mmmm
