Happy New Year! We're not sure about you, but this year our team is excited to make small, healthy changes to feel more energetic during the work week. First goal: eat more color!
And that's why we're excited about Florida strawberries: they're in season through Easter (when a lot of other US strawberry growers are dormant), and are great in sweet and savory recipes alike!
So without further ado, we bring you a few of our favorite salads, a juicy cocktail, and a sweet treat featuring the fruit of the moment!
A salad beautiful to serve during a celebration brunch but easy enough to pull off on a weeknight, this watercress beauty features ripe strawberries, salty feta and a zippy champagne vinaigrette.
What could possibly be better than smooth avocados, sweet strawberries, a little onion and a dash of lemon juice? Meet our new favorite guacamole, perfect for dipping (or even eating straight from the spoon!)
A fruity twist on the classic, this juicy Strawberry Moscow Mule is mixed with vodka (although use tequila if you'd like) and a spicy ginger beer. We love the pale pink color and ease with which these come together.
With just six ingredients, this smooth and creamy Strawberry Mousse couldn't be easier to make. Extra bonus? It holds up well in the refrigerator, so it's a great make-ahead dessert! May we suggest doubling the batch if you're having guests? It's often the star of the show.Continue to 5 of 5 below.
Looking to incorporate more whole grains into your diet this year? This pretty, filling quinoa salad made with fresh strawberries and arugula is the answer to creating colorful salads you'll actually WANT to eat!
