Simply Recipes 2019 Meal Plan: December Week 4

When it is cold outside comfort food is the name of the game! This week’s meal plan starts off with Weeknight Chicken Ramen, Quick and Easy Bolognese Sauce, sheet pan pizza, Ham and Cheese Pasta Bake, and Sheet Pan Fish and Chips.

This month, please welcome back Aaron Hutcherson and his meal plans! Aaron is a regular contributor here on Simply Recipes and the blogger behind The Hungry Hutch.

It’s the end of the year and the holidays are finally here!

This week’s recipes are all about comfort. I’m a big fan of comfort food, and it can mean different things for different people. I think this week’s selection should have something for everyone to give a sense of ease and solace. And if that doesn’t work, then maybe a batch of coquito will surely do the trick.

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Joyous Kwanzaa! Happy Boxing Day! Whatever it is that you do or don’t celebrate, I hope it is all that you wish it to be.

A beautiful fast bolognese sauce on a blue patterned plate with noodles and fork.

I love a nice hearty Bolognese. It's traditional to ladle it over freshly cooked pasta, but creamy polenta would be another great option.

Sheet Pan Pizza with Roasted Cauliflower and Greens

You can make your own pizza dough or pick some up from the grocery store or your favorite local pizzeria to save some time.

Baked Fish and Chips Garnished with Fresh Parsley

This version of the classic British dish is made in the oven instead of getting deep-fried, but it's still delicious. Roast some broccoli at the same time to serve on the side.

Thank you, Aaron. I have to be gluten free, but so many recipes of yours can easily be converted to g.f. I have gluten free ramen noodles and gluten free panko, and gf pasta too.
    Appreciate all your efforts!
