In her previous life, Dorie Greenspan gave up working on her doctorate in gerontology to bake cookies in a restaurant basement and hasn't looked back since. She is a New York Times best-selling author with fourteen cookbooks, including Baking With Dorie, Everyday Dorie, Dorie's Cookies, Around My French Table, Baking With Julia, and Baking Chez Moi. She served as a columnist for The Washington Post and The New York Times Magazine and continues writing for her popular newsletter xoxoDorie newsletter on Substack. She has won five James Beard Awards for her cookbooks and journalism and was inducted into the Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America. Additionally Dorie was awarded Awarded the Mérite d’ Agricole (the Order of Agricultural Merit) by the French Consulate for her outstanding writing on French cuisine.
