Favorite cooking tool: "Among my favorite cooking tools is a very old, scratched and bent fork that belonged to my late Great Aunt Bertha, who was a fabulous Jewish cook and baker. I use the fork to beat the eggs when I make challah for our Friday night meals. When she was 4, I taught our granddaughter (now in her late 20's) to bake challah; she will inherit this family heirloom when I am no longer able to use it."
