Experience
Katie Workman is on a mission to make people feel more comfortable with getting weeknight dinners on the table and entertaining friends. As she developed solutions to making her family meals easier and more universally liked, she created The Mom 100 blog and her first cookbook, "The Mom 100 Cookbook", which Cooking Light named one of the top 100 books of the past 25 years.
"Dinner Solved" followed, which Ina Garten called “A stunningly good book for busy parents.” Katie writes regularly for the AP and is a frequent contributor to national publications and food forums such as The Washington Post, Food52, thekitchn.com and Parade.com. Katie has also appeared on radio, television, and streaming video such as NPR’s All Things Considered, The Today Show, Access Hollywood Live, and Craftsy.com. She also develops content and recipes for brands like World Market Cost Plus, The American Lamb Board, Prepara, Idaho Potatoes, Campbell's, and Bob’s Red Mill.
Katie's favorite kitchen tool: "I have a little bit of a tabletop addiction—and now that I have my own studio I can justify the constant addition of new linens, plates, glasses, pans, and knives to my world. If there is a flea market nearby, I will find it. I cannot do without my favorite Japanese knife, my Cuisinart food processor, and my dozens of pots and pans."
