Kayla Hoang is a freelance recipe developer, writer, and baker. Her love of food comes from her parents and their Bangladeshi and Vietnamese roots. Her journey in food media began with interning at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. From there she interned at Food Network after which she continued to freelance, testing and developing recipes. Kayla also freelances regularly for NYT Cooking, Kitchn, and The Spruce Eats. Most recently she curated a series called "At the Table" on Kitchn which highlights underrepresented BIPOC communities through their cuisines.
