Lauryn is a freelance recipe developer, culinary producer, and private chef with 10 years of experience throughout the hospitality industry. Following university, she packed her bags for the Big Apple, where she flexed her expertise supporting major hospitality brands at one of the world’s largest PR & Marketing agencies, while attending the Institute of Culinary Education for Culinary Arts.
She developed her talents in professional savory and pastry kitchens, before combining flavors with cookbook author and TV host, Gail Simmons as her culinary assistant. In this role, Lauryn found her love for recipe development, strategic brand partnerships, and event menu planning. Looking to learn even more, she jumped into the vast world of meal kits as an editor and head food stylist before stepping in as Food Editor for The Spruce Eats. Lauryn curated recipes and guides for all palates and cooking levels as well as hosts YouTube cooking shows for the vertical. She now works in the wide world of freelance, continuing her passion as a culinary producer on TV sets and private chef on sailing charters around the world for The Sailing Collective.
Lauryn is dedicated to bringing more sustainable practices across the food system, keeping each step conscious and tasty. When she isn't cooking you can find her at her crossfit box along with her pup, Puck, or diving fork-first into a bowl of pasta.
