Growing up on an organic farm in Missouri, Lena has loved food (especially vegetables!) and cooking for as long as she can remember. Her early years were spent helping her parents on the farm and at farmers markets until she was old enough to start working in local restaurants and wineries.
In 2010 Lena moved to New York to attend the Food Studies program at NYU. She continued to work in restaurants and intern for food publications until eventually settling into a full-time position at Delish.com after graduating. Starting out as a test kitchen manager, she moved into the position of food editor and eventually senior editor over the course of 5 years. During her time at Delish she developed and styled countless recipes, hosted several YouTube series, and helped create many cookbooks and print projects.
In summer of 2022, Lena transitioned into freelance food styling and recipe development. You can find her work on Delish.com, Cosmopolitan Magazine, The Kitchn, Cherry Bombe Magazine, First We Feast, and more.
