Limoncello is basically boozy sunshine in a bottle—it’s smooth, bright, and one of the best after dinner drinks. I don’t have it nearly enough, and that changes with this dessert! You only need four ingredients for these ice pops: limoncello, honey, whole-fat Greek yogurt, and thinly-sliced lemons.
They take just a few minutes to prepare, and a few hours to freeze. Stash your freezer with them now, and you can enjoy them all summer long!
What Is Limoncello?
Limoncello is a popular Italian liqueur typically made from vodka, lemon peels, and sugar. Depending on the recipe, it can be sweet or tart. It’s usually served chilled as a digestif, but it’s also great when mixed with sparkling water, or shaken into a cocktail. Homemade limoncello typically takes about a month to make, but you can also buy it at a liquor store.
What Kind of Ice Pop Molds Should You Use?
Any plastic or silicone ice pop molds will work, but Simply Recipes recommends the Zoku Classic Pop Mold because of the snap on lid and sturdy base. If you don’t have ice pop molds, you could just use those little paper Dixie cups and craft sticks. They’d be cute as a circular pop!
How to Make This Recipe Kid-Friendly
For a kid-friendly ice pop, you could swap out the limoncello for lemonade or even lemon juice.

Limoncello Yogurt Pops
- 2 cups plain whole fat Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cup limoncello
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced with seeds removed
- Special equipment
- Popsicle molds
Combine the yogurt, honey, and limoncello:
In a large bowl, whisk the yogurt, honey, and limoncello until smooth.
Fill the popsicle molds:
Place 1 thin lemon slice in each mold along the side.
If needed, transfer the mixture into a cup with a spout for easy pouring. Divide the yogurt pop mixture evenly between the popsicle molds.
Freeze the molds for 4 hours or up to 3 days.
To release the pops from the molds, run the base of the molds under hot water until loosened. Serve.
