Michael works at the crossroads of food, writing, and education. He primarily focuses on the historical and cultural intricacies of different ingredients and dishes, as well as service-forward pieces, explainers, and ingredient deep-dives. He's also been a private tutor for a decade, specializing in writing and editing. Since graduating from The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, he's worked in restaurants, supper clubs, catering, and a multitude of food media websites and magazines. He's passionate about music, books, food, social equity & representation, his loved ones, and his dog, Winston. He resides in his beloved New Jersey.
