Thanks for posting this recipe! looks delicious! Definitely going to try it. I wanted to leave you a comment because I noticed that the blade on the image (same as ours) has been recalled https://recall.cuisinart.com/ Looking forward to more tasty recipes!
Hi, i would love to try out this recipe. So tempted just by looking at the pictures. But i dont want to make a gluten free tart. Is there a regular tart recipe that i can use?
Hi, Sobia — I’d just use Elise’s Perfect Pie Crust instead! http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/perfect_pie_crust/
Or buy a gluten free pastry mix….just saying.
Looks delicious, Sabrina! I love the use of maple sugar! :)
Could this pastry recipe be used for a pumpkin pie?
You could certainly try. I would par bake the crust a bit to make sure you don’t get a soggy bottom.
Could this be altered to be a potato tart. I love the exposed fanning of the apples and would love to do it with potatoes. Thanks!
You would likely have to do some pretty heavy alterations, but you could do it. Perhaps making an herb oil or a pesto instead of the maple lemon glaze. One thing to note, the crust is more like a cookie than a super flaky pastry. You might want to add a layer of sauce beneath the potatoes to prevent it being too dry.
Please let us know if it works out for you.
looks beautiful, nicer than many patisseries.
Thank you so much, Nadia!
