No ImageBean and Bacon Soup

    I, like others, mostly followed the recipe but tweaked it a bit. I used imitation bacon bits, which I think made it too salty so I added more water and some corn starch and it’s excellent. I also added a few drops of liquid smoke and left out thyme. I didn’t add celery either. I did use knorr vegetable seasoning and gora ham flavor. I caution you to hold off on salt but this tastes better than the Campbell’s original, which is what I was trying to replicate.

    Followed recipe exactly except (I hate when people do this but…) didn’t have celery substituted cauliflower just because I had some and added celery seed and whole can of paste but think we are ready to put Campbell’s soup out of business I also had to add more water as I let it go while cleaning out the fridge

    Used pork stock, and added about a cup of ham. Super tasty! Thanks for the recipe!

    This was so good! I had boiled the Easter ham bone and used the stock for 4 of the 6 cups of broth! No waste, and a delicious soup! Great recipe!
