No pizza sauce?
Hi, Kim! You are correct! No sauce.
Has anyone ever tried prepping the whole thing (through step 4), then refrigerating it and baking the next day?
This Stromboli recipe is easy to follow and comes together quickly! And, it looks so pretty when done! I used store bought Sicilian Gravy for a dipping sauce and loved it. As much as I enjoyed the recipe just as it is, I rarely eat meat and will be trying a vegie version soon with the same cheeses and perhaps sliced pan fried mushrooms, spinach/chard and the peppers and capers. Will certainly finish with the egg wash and parm!
Don t forget. sauce, for dipping, this great stromboli in. !!
This has become a go-to meal for my family. Great cold weather meal and so many filling options to explore. Thanks for the inspiration!
I made this exactly as written and it was great! Now I’ll use the other half of the dough to customise the fillings. Can’t wait! A definite keeper recipe!
Just made this for our office potluck and it was a real hit. Had a bowl of my homemade marinara on the side. Everyone loved it.
So glad to hear it! Thanks, Nancy!
