Amazing!! Even my picky eater tore it up :)
Mmmh qué rico y muy fácil de hacer!!!
I’m so glad you like it Renata! Gracias!
Mac and cheese for adults! Brought us back to our childhood! Thank you.
Fabulous dish! I used bowtie pasta, 1c 1/2 &1/2 and 2 c of milk since I had no heavy cream, and a shaved cheese mix of Parmegiano and Fontina cheeses. Love the flexibility!!!
Tasted fantastic, lovely and creamy. Made exactly to the recipe.
Absolutely delish! Easy to make and cheap!
Delicious! My husband made this for our dinner. Just the two of us. Next day leftovers were even better!!
So Delicious & a perfect, creamy comfort food for the days between Christmas & New Year’s! I added broccoli to the dish and ritz crackers on the top. I can’t wait to eat some more tomorrow!
Ham, pasta, cheese – it had to be good! Added broccoli. Used fontina instead of mozzarella. Sprinkled the top with a little smoked paprika. So tasty!
Wow! Really good. Was worried that just mozzarella and parmesan cheeses would be bland but not the case at all. Loved the garlic addition. My guest had 3 servings!
Wow. This is going into the favorite recipes file! Though I’m not too fond of nutmeg as it can overwhelm the flavors in baked goods, I did follow the recipe exactly and it made a huge difference in the flavor of the cheese sauce. Creamy, cheesy, pasta plus ham, we loved it!
I added Colby cheese and ritz cracker crumbs on top. Delicious
Winner, Winner, Ham Dinner! Will definitely be making this again. Easy, tasty, impressive comfort food. Everyone in my family enjoyed this and we can never find a meal that everybody likes. Buying a small, nicer quality ham at the grocery store (I bought Hempler’s) helped make this dish taste great without overpowering it with salt
I made this and my husband and I LOVED it! I shared the casserole with my friend and she and her husband loved it too. What’s not to love! Thanks for a great recipe that I will make again and again.
What other meat might I substitute for the ham? Smoked salmon?
Sure, smoked salmon would be a fun alternative! You might also try something like cooked turkey sausage.
You could also try smoked sausage, cooked chicken or tuna.
Would ham that had been glazed work fot this recipe?
Looks amazing!!! I was wondering could we possibly add broccoli to this?
Sure, don’t see why not!
Hello Can this be frozen before the baking, to have a meal at hand for emergency.
Hi, Laura! Emma, managing editor for Simply Recipes, here! My gut instinct is that this would freeze well AFTER baking. I’d freeze it in individual portions, thaw overnight or during the day if you can remember, and then reheat in the microwave. Let us know if you try it!
Some subtle twists on my usual pasta bake recipe and this made all the difference. The herbs and garlic really make it! My husband said its the best pasta bake he’s ever tasted!
I’m so glad he liked it!
Excellent, Made as written minus the onion/chive because I didn’t have any in the house. Entire family loved it and it is now in regular rotation in our home. Thank you for another excellent recipe.
