Sometimes I just wrap several heads in 1 piece of foil. Otherwise I use small baking tin w all in it. I always open it or take the foil off 5-10 mins at the end to get browned top. Delicious w Cambazola, Blue or Brie cheese & baguette slices.

Hey, thanks for this – I needed the temp since it had been awhile since I roasted garlic in the oven. Awesome, thank you. Been totally jonesing on hot and cold smoking garlic. Forgot how delicious oven roasted garlic is!!! My problem is I want to eat it all standing at the kitchen counter.
I love this recipe. I use it in several different ways, mix it with olive oil while it’s still warm and spread it on grilled crusted bread, homemade marinara sauce add so much depth. I make a spread using blue and cream cheese that I call Duck Butter, the roasted garlic just intensifies the flavor even more. Love it!!!

I made this last weekend. It was pretty bland. Which is weird, as it’s garlic.
What did you eat the roasted garlic with? Did you spread it on bread? Maybe sprinkle on some salt, and be a little more generous with the olive oil drizzle. And yes, garlic should not be bland!
often the cheap garlic can be old and not show normal signs since its treated so it will sit of the grocery shelf longer and never sprout… but might eventually get dusty/moldy LOL!…
when garlic ages, it oxidizes and starts to lose its sharp, strong flavor- when buying garlic to roast, look for either organic or ones that show signs of life- tips of green on some of them- it tells me they hadn’t been treated ;) hope this helps

I don’t have much cookware so I roast my garlic in my casserole dish and when it’s finished I bake my tenderloin. My husband claims I use to much olive oil and with money being extremely tight I came here to read how you do it.And yep he was right o was using WAY to much.Thank you for taking time to post your recipe.I surely appreciated it.My hubby and wallet does too lol
