Simply Recipes was founded in 2003 by Elise Bauer as a home cooking blog to record her favorite family recipes. Today, Simply Recipes has grown into a trusted resource for home cooks with more than 3,000 tested recipes, guides, and meal plans, drawing over 15 million readers each month from around the world. We’re supported by a diverse and ever-growing group of recipe developers, food writers, recipe and product testers, photographers, and other creative professionals.

We are a team of home cooks and our experience comes from hours spent in the kitchen — not only testing and developing the recipes and cooking tips we share on Simply Recipes, but also making weeknight dinners for our families, baking loaves of bread on rainy mornings, and packing potstickers into freezer bags for future meals. We love food, we love cooking, and we love sharing our passion with you.
We've also done some pretty cool things in our careers! We have variously worked as food writers, food photographers, journalists, editors, artists, recipe testers, cookbook writers, restaurant line cooks, caterers, culinary instructors, and cooking show hosts. Collectively, we have enough years working in food to cover an entire birthday cake with candles.
